The citizens of Juba wish all the people of South Sudan a happy and prosperous New Year 2013.

Bakhita Radio asked them of what they hope for the new nation in the year 2013.

Kiko Nadio, a resident of Atlabara cited rampant insecurity in Juba in Central Equatoria, other states and borders.

She hopes 2013 would be more secured than 2012.

Mathok Kong who lives in Gudele said communities must develop peace within themselves in order to allow government initiate development strategies.

He said inter-tribal clashes and random killings in Juba were bad instances for South Sudan in 2012.

Mr Kong also hopes for a peaceful 2013.

Jimmy Johnson, Juba University student hopes for better security and infrastructure in the country.

Security in Juba and South Sudan at large has been major concern for South Sudan and International community in the year 2012.

Hundreds of inter-ethnic conflicts, random killings in towns and border disputes with Sudan were major security threats for the new nation.
