The official opening of Lakes State Directorate of Nationality and Passports that was supposed to take place on Monday has been postponed to a later date due to administrative delays in Juba.
Chief of Migration and Alien Control in the State, First Lieutenant Riek Zechariah Mathen on Monday told Good News Radio that the ceremony has been rescheduled to December 14.He said the postponement was to allow the Director General of Nationality and Passports, Maduot Parek and his delegation to arrive to the State.
The presence of Nationality and Passports office in Rumbek is expected to reduce travelling and accommodation expenses in Juba.
