The Governor of Jonglei State, Kuol Manyang Juuk said insecurity in his state undermines development there.
Mr Juk told Bakhita Radio at the side line of the second Governors forum in Juba that insecurity compromises social, economic and agricultural development in Jonglei state.He said without security no developmental activities would materialize in Jonglei.
Governor Juuk revealed that disarmament and peace initiative by local county chiefs are helping the state stabilize.
Mr Juuk said Jonglei is now peaceful compared to a year ago when inter-tribal clashes and rebellion of George Athor ravaged the state security.
He said David Yau Yau rebellion in Pibor County would come to an end in the next three months of the dry season because Yau Yau has no supporters.
Jonglei state is one of South Sudan states highly affected by Inter-communal conflicts and rebellions of George Athor and David Yau Yau.
