Bishop Edwardo Hiiboro asked God to bless them and pour his grace upon them to travel safely.
Addressing the faithful who gathered to see their relatives’ departing, Bishop Hiiboro said it is by faith that many people decided to foot referring to the arrival of the Missionaries in Zande Land.
He underlined that it is not due to poverty that these people decide to move on foot.
The team leader, Fr. Kumbonyaki said they will be moving slowly and mostly when it is cool at down, late evening and even during the night.
He added that they estimated four days journey of over 255 kilometresÊ from Yambio to reach Mupoi to join the Centenary celebration.
This week, most pedestrians from all parishes join Mupoi, the last two groups will be the cyclists and that those driving will be the last to leave for Mupoi next week.
