Budi County Commissioner in Eastern Equatoria State has called on the residents to be calm and not to retaliate on the recent cattle raids in the area.
Maurice Kaunda said Budi has witnessed an increased cattle raids, robbery and theft cases.The Commissioner explained that one person was killed, six others wounded and about 640 heads of cattle from four kraals at Kikilai Boma were stolen on Tuesday.
He said the injured victims are undergoing treatment at Chukudum Hospital.
He said criminals attacked a truck at Camp-15 and looted 65 bulls belonging to a businessman.
A man identified as Lokiziana, was also killed by the raiders while grazing his animals at Lovinga area of Zunguro Boma in Kimotong Payam, Budi County.
The Commissioner said his counterparts of Ikwoto and Kapoeta South Counties are already informed of the incidences.
He said the three County authorities have engaged the armed forces to trace the criminals and recover the animals.
