The Chamber of Commerce organized a lecture for business students from the Catholic University of South Sudan to inform them about the establishment of private businesses.
Secretary General Simon Kuei told reporters after the meeting that the Chamber of Commerce wanted to empower all business and economic students with information about entrepreneurship, Bakhita Radio reported.
Mr Kuei said the private sector was going through a reform process.
He urged the students to join the South Sudan Young Entrepreneurs Association in order to do competitive business in South Sudan.
Mr Kuei said although the private sector is the main employer, most people think that the Government should employ everybody.
He said graduates should start looking at self-employment opportunities.
Mr Kuei urged the Government to start technical institutes to empower young people with practical income-generating skills.
Close to 30 forth-year students from the Catholic University attended the lecture.
The Catholic University of South Sudan graduated its first batch on Economics last May.
