Some refugees living in Juba gave the thumbs up to a projected relocation site in Lainay County of Central Equatoria.
UNHCR, the UN agency for refugees, estimates that 7,000 refugees from various countries live in Juba, surviving on petty jobs like selling food and construction work and savings.Humanitarian partners and local authorities identified a site in Lainya County to relocate refugees and organized √É’go and see’ trips for a number of refugees.
The majority of refugees who went to see the site were happy to relocate to Lainya, UNOCHA wrote in its South Sudan weekly bulletin.
