The Sudanese air force dropped seven bombs over Heiban, in Nuba Mountains, on Tuesday injuring three people and destroying the local Catholic Church compound.
A local witness said the bombs targeted Heiban market and residential areas. On Tuesday, another 12 bombs fell over Umserdiba, Alnugra, Ndra and Tablo localities in Umdorain County, causing wide destruction and burning farms.
SPLM-N spokesperson Arnu Ngattulu Lodi said the ongoing aerial attacks by the Sudan Air Force are worsening the already critical humanitarian situation in Nuba Mountains.
He explained that the bombs were burning this year’s poor harvest.
Mr Ngattulu said the displacement of refugees would increase if the aerial bombardments did not stop.
