Three communities from Warrap State said they wanted to join Western Bahr el Ghazal but officials expressed reserves to interfere in the state’s internal conflicts.
Three chiefs from Greater Tonj told Western Bahr el Ghazal authorities that they wanted to be part of Jur River County, Voice of Hope reported.Western Bahr el Ghazal state Information Minister Derrick Alfred Uya told the press in Wau that officials have made several consultations to resolve the issue.
He said the Commissioner of Jur River County John Arop Manut made consultations to solve issues related to cattle grazing.
Mr Arop told Voice of Hope that the three communities were from Kuaj South and Tonj South.
He explained that his county will not interfere in Warrap’s internal conflicts and asked the the state to solve the issue.
Mr Arop said security was stable in the county and consultations would continue with the authorities and communities in Warrap regarding grazing lands and farms in Jur River County.
