INDIGENOUS COMPANY LAUNCHES ANTI-EAST COAST FEVER

Lojurya Agro-Farming Company in partnership with Bimeda, the state and national ministries of Animal Resources and Fisheries on Friday launched Anti-East Coast fever.

General Manager Ambrose Lomin Pitia told the press in Juba that the purpose of the company is to promote the livestock activities in the region.

He said the company is working hard to provide the cattle-keepers with anti-East coast fever.

Central Equatoria State minister for Animal Resource and Fisheries Paul Lodu Bureng said they are interested in the anti to reduce the death rate and improve animals’ health and market.

Paul Delgum State Minister for Warrap said fever that had been infecting livestock in South Sudan in the last two years, came from Kenya.

He said the fever had been affecting livestock in Jonglei and Lakes States.

Mr Delgum added that it was important for his state to attend because they share the same grazing lands with Lakes State.

Mr Delgum said there are many diseases that killed the livestock in South Sudan
