Security officials in Budi County have arrested and detained prison warders over suspicion of helping inmates to escape.
Eastern Equatoria State Minister of Public Administration and Internal Affairs, Claudio Suleiman Liling said the Prison officers on duty during the escape are arrested as suspects for helping the inmates, Radio Emmanuel reported.The minister did not disclose the number and identities of the prison officers arrested.
The minister said security organs are still investigating the matter to find details of the number of the escaped inmates and their identities to make efforts to re-arrests.
The prisoners escaped from prison in Budi County on Tuesday
