The main road connecting Leer County to Bentiu, the capital of Unity State, remains impassable due to recent rains and floods.
Driver Kuon Koah told Internews Network that the critical highway was severely damaged and needed quick intervention.Poor road conditions and often fuel shortage have led to an increase in most goods due to hiking transport costs.
A bus fare between Leer and Bentiu has increased from 15 to 120 pounds.
The Catholic Radio Network (CRN) is a media project constituted by community-based radio stations broadcasting in Frequency Modulation from Juba, Yei, Torit, Yambio, Rumbek, Tonj, Wau, and Malakal.
