The National Council of Ministers in its ordinary Friday sitting formed a ministerial committee to repatriate young South Sudanese stranded in the Egyptian capital.

Government spokesperson Barnaba Marial Benjamin told the press after the cabinet meeting that the committee headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs was delegated to make appropriate preparations to bring the young from Cairo.

Dr Marial said the Cabinet directed the Minister for Humanitarian Affairs Joseph Lual Acuil to prepare laws to regulate NGOs operating in South Sudan.

The Ministry was asked to register all NGOs.

The humanitarian organizations have also to declare their annual budgets and assets.

Dr Marial said the Council endorsed an extradition treaty between South Sudan and Ethiopia presented by the Minister of Justice John Luk Jok.
