The national ministry of roads and bridges Friday concluded the two-week training on public procurement to boost the capacity of its staff.

Deputy Minister Simon Majok Majak told Bakhita Radio that brought in two representatives from the ten States ministries of Physical Infrastructure and Finance, Anti-corruption Commission and Audit Chamber.

He said the ministry is trying to commit itself in conducting the public procurement training in three phases.

Mr Majok said the purpose of the training was to build the human capital of the staff in the ministry of road and bridges.

He added that the ministry is calling upon the local contractors and those who are willing to join the road industry not to waste time on single sources that go for public procurement law implementation.

The two-week training was organized by the national Ministry of Roads and Bridges in partnership with World Bank.
