The catechists of Yei Catholic Diocese started preparing for the Year of the Faith that starts next October and concludes in November 2013.
JRS, the Jesuit Refugees Service, has conducted a three-day workshop to the catechists of Lutaya Parish in preparation for the event.JRS pastoral coordinator Kevin White told Radio Easter that the workshop for catechists started two weeks ago in Sacred Heart-Lomin parish, Kajo Keji.
Fr Kevin explained that the catechists’ workshop will be repeated in all the other parishes of Yei diocese.
Next one will be in Christ the King cathedral-parish.
Catechist Luate Faustino said he was very happy to learn about leadership and the history of the Church.
Catechist Benjamin Bakata said he learned that there were many challenges in life but a strong faith helps to overcome the difficulties.
The workshop was attended by 23 catechists.
