The Nuba Mountains civilians are called to be patient regardless of severe hunger that has struck the entire region following the outbreak of war in the country.

Heiban County SPLM-N Political Secretary, Asaed Juma Idriss, said that people should not worry too much although there is hunger, diseases and instability in the region, Radio Voice of Peace reported.

He encouraged the people to remain patient because the newly planted crops will yield soon.

Mr. Juma appealed to the government and the international community to bring food relief to the people suffering in the Nuba Mountains and Blue Nile States.

He called upon those who have little food to share it with those without.

Juma added that for one to struggle for liberty many difficulties must come across.

Thousands of people fled to Yida camp in the Unity State of South Sudan as a result of aerial bombardments.
