In May, the numbere of accidents reduced in Yambio due to police patrolling and awareness campaigns targetting drivers and boda-boda riders.
Yambio acting Director of Traffic Police Gabriel Tang told Anisa FM that last month they registered only five minor traffic accidents.He said on Thursday there was a serious accident involving a motorcyclist and an old man.
Both were admitted to Yambio Civil Hospital for treatment.
Mr Tang urged all road users to respect the traffic rules and signals.
He also warned drivers and boda-boda riders not to speed in the town.
Mr Tang appeals to all motorbike riders and drivers to have always the driving licenses with them.
