The Government of Sudan and the NCP, National Congress Party, should rule fairly in order to restore peace and order in the country and especially in Nuba Mountains.

The request comes from Babowia B., the head of Woman’s Association in Mendi. She said the NCP administrations failed to restore unity among citizens causing children to turn against children, women against women and families against families.

She added that the Government is only interested in material things, undermining the lives of the people.

Mama B claimed that those children who joined the NCP are not responsible enough and those ones who remained with the SPLM-North are also Sudanese.

She encouraged women to remain patient, not to go anywhere because the time for their liberation is near.

In the last weeks, some people left the area and went to NCP controlled zones in search of food.

Mendi has a population of over 4,000.
