The administration of the parish of Saint Kizito-Munuki, in Juba, is taking care of an abandoned child dropped between Gudele and Miya Saba residential areas.

The three-month baby girl was found dumped along the roadside and was brought to the church for care.

The parish priest reported the baby to the police who brought the child to the hospital for a general check up.

The police handed the child to the parish priest who asked support from a lactating mother to take care of the abandoned child.

Speaking during the silver jubilee of Saint Kizito parish on Sunday, Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro of Juba criticised such irresponsible behaviour from parents.

He said no child exists in the world without parents urging the parish to take care of the baby girl.

Archbishop Lukudu said if the parents of the child do not appear the baby will belong to Saint Kizito parish.

He ordered the administration of the parish to take part of the money collected on Sundays to carter for the child’s needs.

Archbishop Lukudu called on the faithful of Saint Kizito parish and people of good will to support the church in the upbringing of the child.
