A fuel shortage has hit Juba due speculation from consumers who feared that petrol stations would run dry but prices stayed the same.
Bakhita Radio visited some petrol stations in Juba and managed to talk to Leuna Bebazia. He said there was shortage of fuel in Juba but the prices did not increase.Another consumer who wanted to keep his name confirmed that there was no increase in prices despite of fuel shortages.
Fetkeity, the secretary of Global Petroleum, said the long queues around petrol stations are due to lack of petrol in town.
Ms Fetkeity did not explain why patrol was not available in Juba while many oil tankers are arriving in Juba on a daily basis.
