The state director of the Anti-Corruption Commission in Western Equatoria said the forms to declare personal wealth that were distributed to the civil servants in the state were successfully filled in and returned on time.

Samuel Jok disclosed to Anisa FM that out of 450 forms that were distributed, only three were spoiled and 447 were successfully filled in and remitted to the state Anti-Corruption Commission in Yambio.

The director explained that the forms were issued to all government officials holding positions from grade one to grade five, members of parliament, and all the organized forces from the post of colonel and above.

Mr Jok said the turn up was 100 percent in Western Equatoria state, but 11 people handed in their forms after the deadline of March 30 due to some reasonable excuses.

He explained that the declaration of assets and liabilities was laid to promote accountability and transparency among those who serve the nation.

Mr Jok appreciated the officials of Western Equatoria state for their positive response to the Constitution of South Sudan by declaring their assets to the Anti-Corruption Commission.
