A Christian charity operating in Tonj South County plans to distribute 58,000 mosquito nets to the residents to prevent malaria ahead of the rainy season.
World Vision area coordinator on malaria prevention Florence Njoroge told Don Bosco FM that her organization is conducting a workshop on malaria prevention for community leaders and mass mosquito nets distribution.She explained that the workshop taught people how to prevent malaria infections by using mosquito nets during the rainy season.
The workshop was attended by government authorities including the commissioner of Tonj South County, Akech Tong Aleu, payam administrators and local chiefs.
Ms Njoroge claimed that World Vision is the leading distributor of mosquito nets in Warrap state.
