The SPLM-North, UN, African Union and Arab league signed an agreement on February 18 2012 in the Kenyan capital Nairobi to deliver aid to Southern Kordofan and Blue Nile.
The document allows delivery of aid to the regions without conditions or obstacles, and makes provision for relief operations to begin within two weeks from the signing of the pact.

SPLM-N Spokesman, Arnu Ngutulu Lodi appreciated and welcomed the efforts of the UN, the AU and the Arab League in developing this proposal to address the urgent humanitarian needs of the people of Blue Nile and Southern Kordofan.

He said the SPLM-North accepted the proposal and is committed to fully implement it.
