Food commodities prices are skyrocketing in Juba main markets, and residents are urging the government to intervene.

CRN News visited Konyokonyo market, where buyers expressed serious concerns about the situation.
Fady Mark complained that since last week vegetables like onions, tomatoes cabbages, and carrots have become extremely expensive. She infers that the skyrocketing prices are probably caused by high taxes at the border.

Keji Laku, affirmed that her money was not enough to buy the items in her list because the prices are incredibly high. She added that everything costs above 10 Pounds and that no poor person can survive in such situation. She urged the government to intervene or else people in the country will continue to suffer.
