The Catholic Diocese of Torit ended its three-day annual general meeting with a call for quality service provision to the people.
Priests, catechists and officials working in the different social departments of the diocese attended the meeting under the theme “Put out into the deep”, a passage chosen from the Gospel of Luke.Bishop Akio Johnson Mutek of Torit explained that the theme “Put out into the deep” was chosen to inspire the diocesan officials to work harder in order to deliver quality services to the beneficiaries.
Bishop Akio advised the participants to circulate information in order to improve communication within the departments in the diocese and with local and international partners working with the diocese of Torit.
Bishop Akio announced a visit to the Western and Eastern deaneries to pray with the people and administer sacraments.
