Consumers in Juba are lamenting the continuous increases of prices of commodities although the Government stopped illegal taxation and reduced duty on food.
Bakhita Radio visited the popular Konyokonyo Market this morning to investigate prices of commodities.
Kadmala who went to the market to buy cloths said they were too expensive.
She regretted buying things during Christmas time: she said it would be cheaper to buy things in October or November.
Lidya is another consumer who went to buy cloths for her children. She said prices were moderate, but she complained that some traders charged high prices.
Lujut is a trader selling cloths. He said the market is doing well and traders were making good profit due to high Christmas demand.
Konyokonyo market is one of the busiest souks in Juba and many people are busy doing their shopping for Christmas.
