Patients recovering at a local hospital in Nuba Mountains have received 20 FM radio sets to listen to the local stations, keep their morale and distract them from their pains.
The radios were sent by Bishop Marcram Max Gasis of El Obeid to assist patients who want to listen to the different radio programs while recovering at the Catholic hospital.The administration of the hospital thanked for the gift, saying the radio sets are important tools to assist patients in their recovery.
The administrator added that the patients have been asking for some radio sets.
Some members of the staff thanked for the radio sets that they said will distract patients from their pains and bring them some educational opportunities.
Patients at the hospital said listening to the various radio programs helped them change their lives and takes their minds off their health problems.
