The office of the Directorate of Immigration in Lakes State announced that foreigners coming to South Sudan can get their entry visa at the immigration offices in Rumbek airport.
The chief of Immigration and Aliens Control at Rumbek airport, Isaac Makur Kedit, made the announcement on Monday through a letter addressed to all foreigners, investors and NGOs staff in Lakes State, urging them to visit his office for visas as soon as possible.Gabriel Bang Riak, an immigration official at the airport, told Good News Radio that the available visas range from one to three months.
Visas for six months and one year for foreigners living in South Sudan are issued by the Immigration Headquarters in Juba.
One month single entry visas for citizens from countries bordering South Sudan cost 50 US dollars while the same visa for citizens from all other countries cost 100 dollars. Multiple entry visas for six months cost 250 dollars and for one year 400 dollars.
The fee for registration of aliens at Rumbek airport has been revised from 84 South Sudanese Pounds to 160.
