The vice president opened today the first ever agricultural trade fair at Nyakuron Cultural Centre Juba.

Riek Marchar Teny said agriculture represents a huge investment opportunity in South Sudan.

He urged farmers to form cooperatives or unions to enable large scale production.

Dr Machar said there is a need for more vocational education that gives skills to people to produce and create jobs for self sustainability.

The exhibition is organised by the national Agriculture Ministry to bring together local and international agricultural organizations and small scale farmers to interact and create awareness on consumers’ demands.
