The disarmament exercise is still ongoing in Cueibet County, Lakes State, and has reached its third phase.
Cueibet County Commissioner Isaac Mayom Malek, told Good News Radio that 768 guns were collected in the two phases of the disarmament process.
He said the third phase involves confronting those suspected of retaining firearms during the first and second phase of disarmament.
Mr Mayom added that one gun was collected yesterday but the search is still going on.
He urged the government to provide enough water distribution points for the people and their animals to avoid local communities scrambling over scarce water sources as the dry season nears
The Commissioner said more youths need an education and the government should construct more schools in bomas, payams and at states levels to address the issue of increased security.
