A Germany-based Catholic Organization focusing on children programs will continue to support children capacity building programs in South Sudan.

Stefanie Frels, Holy Childhood Project Officer for South Sudan, told Good News Radio that the organization will continue supporting capacity building programs for children.

She explained that the focus will be on children education right from nursery and kindergarten levels by training teachers and equiping schools with the necessary materials.

Ms Frels added that the education programs will be according to government education policy of free education to all children.

She said she was happy to be in South Sudan after the independence adding that there are great signs of hope for a better future in spite of negative reports by foreign media in the West.

Ms. Frels said women should be empowered because they have a vital role in the development of this country.

Holy Childhood reaches out to children mainly in Africa, Asia, Latin and Central America through Catholic dioceses.

In Rumbek, Holy Childhood supports pastoral programs of Sunday schools that include the training of teachers, Minor Seminary activities, and provide hospitals with children’s medicines.
