An advisor to the Central Equatoria governor has urged the citizens of South Sudan to spread a culture of peace in their communities.

Jackson Abugo Gama said there are many people who are not happy with South Sudan’s independence and like to destabilize it by supporting rebellions in the country.

He added that people should be careful and speak the message of peace and not of wars that would lead to displacement.

Mr Abugo added that many rebel leaders were giving up weapons except George Athor who continues to destabilize the people.

He said the enemy of South Sudan was using nationals to undermine its hard won independence.

The advisor was speaking in Yei during the Graduation of Civil Authorities officials of the Local Government Administrators in the state.
