Good News Radio has launched a training program targeting local candidates who are interested in radio broadcasting.
Good News Radio Director Don Bosco Ochieng said the training focuses on the various aspects of radio broadcasting, targeting 12 candidates drawn from the various counties of Lakes State.He added that the in-house training aims at building the capacity of the local journalists in order to get skills that will allow them to produce quality programs.
Fr. Ochieng said the training has the objective to allow the Rumbek-based Catholic radio station to realize its full identity as a community-based media house that helps the local staff serve their community better.
Participant Rachael Ayen Mayor, expressed gratitude to the four resident mentors, thanking them for accepting to be at the service of her community.
The training is supported by the Spanish Organization Manos Unidas and DKA Austria.
