Staff from Juba and Renk ports received some training today on how to manage and operate these key river facilities for transport and development.
James Pal Reat, director of River Transport at the ministry of Transport, told SCR News that the training will teach the new staff how to manage the ports.He added that the port authorities are buying new barges and have to learn how to work with customers.
The one-day training was organised by GoSS and Central Equatoria river transport departments in conjunction with Japan’s international cooperation organisation.
