FORTY TWO DIE IN NIMULE BUS COLLISION

At least 42 people passengers died and over 75 were injured this morning when two buses collided head-on along the Nimule-Juba Road.

The Baby Coach bus was heading to Juba while the Bakulu Coach was travelling from Juba to Kampala.

Denis Akena reported to Emmanuel Radio from Nimule over the phone that the accident took place at around 8:30 AM killing 42 people including both drivers.

A number the causalities have been admitted to Nimule Hospital filling up two wards.

Some injured are in very critical condition.

An eyewitness told the reporter that the buses were moving at a high speed and collided at a sharp bend.

The majority of the victims are believed to be Ugandan and Kenyan traders travelling between Kampala and Juba.

Bakulu office in Juba told Bakhita Radio that their bus had 60 people on board.
