MALAKAL VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE PREPARES COMPUTER LAB

A Japanese development agency is installing a computer lab in Malakal Vocational Training Centre.

Project Assistant at Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) office in Malakal Mayom Winston Ayiik said that the organization will shift in thirty computers and start the training very soon.

He added that the computer lab is already prepared with ten desks that will accommodate about thirty computers for the training.

Mr. Winston said the computer training should enable participants to run small businesses for themselves.

He added that Malakal needs more cyber caf√Ö¬Ωs and places for photocopying documents.

Mr. Winston explained that JICA wanted to contribute to the development of South Sudan in terms of entrepreneurial skills and job creation.

Mr. Winston said that there is a great need for capacity building in South Sudan and JICA is supporting the centre for community mobilization to bring their children to Malakal Vocational Training Centre.
