The priest of Yei Catholic diocese yesterday started their annual retreat under the theme “There is more happiness in receiving than giving.”
Fr. Nicholas Kiri from the Archdiocese is preaching to the ten priests attending the retreat.He told Easter Radio that the retreat takes place between the feast of Mary’s Visitation to Elizabeth and the Ascension of the Lord.
Fr. Kiri added that he chose the theme of the retreat from the Book of the Acts of the Apostles.
The preacher said was important for the priests to come together and pray together although the pastoral needs of the diocese would be on hold for a while.
Fr. Kiri said the retreat is also an occasion for priests to renew their promises to serve the Church.
He urged the Christian community to pray for their priests in the retreat.
