Fuel crisis has hit Yei hard and it is affecting the motorbike public transport known locally as boda-boda.
This morning only one petrol station was operating in town while the others ran dry of fuel and closed down.Boda-boda rider Emmanuel Khemis told Easter Radio that due to the shortage of petrol the operators increased the price of their services in one pound.
He added that the fuel shortage and the increase in its price have hit the business hard and operators have to raise the fares not to lose money.
Mr. Khemis appeal to fellow boda-boda riders to be patient and avoid over speeding.
Petrocity, the only petrol station operating in Yei, is charging 6.50 pounds for a litre of petrol.
There is no diesel in town.
