The Catholic Bishop of Tombura-Yambio is visiting Torit on Sunday.
Father Joseph Aruma told the congregation at Our Lady of Assumption Church that Bishop Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala would pass in Torit on Sunday to preside over the Eucharist in a visit of solidarity.He said the bishop will be travelling from Khartoum to Yambio.
Fr. Aruma said Bishop Johnson Akio Mutek of Torit is still under treatment in India.
He added that the bishops of South Sudan decide during their latest meeting in Juba to make periodic visits to the diocese while Bishop Akio was away.
Bishop Ako’s poor health has kept him away from Torit for some time.
