A German NGO invited some journalists form both South and North Sudan for a five-day training on ethics, principles and of roles.
The training taking place in Juba will spell out the roles of a journalist and how to be neutral while reporting.Dominc Lehnert, one of the facilitators, said the training will also bring journalists together from the North and the South to discuss on how effectively cover their regions without sparking or inciting violence among the public.
He advised journalists to focus on the ethics of their career other than getting involved in politics that creates a divide between the people of South and North Sudan.
The training was organized by Media in Cooperation and Transition that coordinates the Sudan Votes project with funds from the German foreign ministry.
