A SPLA top brass is asking the people of South Sudan to stand together for Abyei, the border demarcation, and the popular consultation in Blue Nile and South Kordofan.
SPLA General Chief of Staff Obute Mamur said Southerners should remain united to achieve the border demarcation and retain Abyei as part of South Sudan, Bakhita Radio reported.
He urged the people of South Sudan to stand together in order to support the popular consultation for the Blue Nile and South Kordofan citizens.
General Mamur vowed that Abyei is part of South Sudan and would remain part of it.
General Mamur warned that the external enemy who wants to cause havoc in South Sudan will know real nature of the SPLA after independence.
He reiterated his call to southerners to remember the past in order to determine their future.
General Mamur made these statements yesterday during the SPLA celebrations in Juba.
