Yei Civil Hospital medical director urged Central Equatoria ministry of health to provide food for patients being treated for tuberculosis in the health facility.

Paul Simbe said that patients refuse treatment and escape from the TB ward because of the side effects of the drugs if the food is not provided in a daily basis, Easter Radio reported.

He added that the patients die due to lack of treatment.

Dr. Simbe said Central Equatoria health ministry should provide feeding for the patients to keep them under treatment in the hospital.

He made these statements during the celebration of the World TB Day in Yei Civil Hospital on Thursday.
