The National Youth Alliance in South Sudan (NYASS) called upon GoSS to provide employment to qualified persons.
In a conference yesterday Nhial Jacob Deng, the head of NYASS, asked the government to employ qualified graduates looking for work.Mr. Jacob said NYASS conducted a research in all the ministries and found people holding up to five jobs in different places.
He added that he doubted whether these people were employed by the public service or by relatives and asked the relevant ministry to find out why this happens.
Mr. Jacob said another NYASS research indicated that hotels in South Sudan are being run by foreigners.
He said the youth are ready to work in any field including hotel management.
Mr. Jacob stressed that youth unemployment will drag the nation back into poverty and economic meltdown.
Mr. Jacob asked the government to build up the capacities of young people.
