He said the Church still has an important role in the delivery of basic services to the needy populations in the new nation like shelter, education and health and that a continual collaboration between the Church and the State will better service delivery.
Mr. Caucik revealed that the people of Slovakia followed the South Sudanese referendum closely: they offered prayers for a peaceful exercise and the media reported about the referendum events.
He added the independence of South Sudan is a big opportunity to develop the new country.
Mr. Caucik said his organization will continue to support the projects in Rumbek Diocese, adding that he was impressed with what the Church is doing with and for the people.
