Eastern Equatoria Speaker called on the members of the Assembly to foster unity as stipulated by the constitution and stop encouraging the rural communities to practice cattle raiding.
Ambrose Emmanuel Ocholimoi said the Constitution is very clear in demanding that every PM fosters the unity of the people of Eastern Equatoria, Emmanuel Radio reported.He challenged lawmakers to assess if their actions fulfil the Constitution’s demand, adding that the answer would be a No.
Mr. Ocholimoi accused some MPs of destabilizing the State in order to be recognized and appointed into government positions while they are betraying the government.
Mr. Ocholimoi made these statements while addressing the House before breaking for recess.
The talks on violence followed continuous clashes between Tirangore and Mura Hatiha communities.
