The minister of cabinet affairs in the government of national unity travelled to the United States of America to discuss the Abyei conflict and seek a solution for the impasse in the negotiations between NCP and SPLM on the Abyei protocol.
Luka Biong told Voice of America that his visit intended to bring the Abyei conflict to the attention of the international community.He accused the NCP of committing genocide in Abyei.
Dr. Biong added that the US administration should reconsider its decision of lifting sanctions against Sudan adding that it has to be reconditioned to how the NCP solves the Abyei conflict.
Dr. Biong said the present crisis in Abyei should force the presidency to come with a final solution in its next meeting.
