A woman was shot yesterday evening in Lanya and died on the way to Juba for medical treatment.
Vivian Monoh, 40, was shot by an unknown gunman while sleeping outside her house in Mission residential area, Lainya County.Lainya county press secretary Lugala Bullen broke the news to Radio Easter over the phone.
Mr. Bullen said that the security personnel are investigating the matter to bring the gunman to books.
The press secretary said Lainya County Commissioner Suba Samuel and the parish priest of Christ the King parish in Yei sent their condolences to the bereaved family.
