A media umbrella group is represented in the post-referendum taskforce at the invitation of GoSS Vice president.
AMDISS, the Association for Media Development in Southern Sudan, concluded yesterday a two-day conference on the role of independent media in the sovereign Republic of South Sudan.The Conference attended by over 40 participants representing media and civil society organizations was opened by GoSS Vice President Riek Machar Teny.
AMDISS Secretary General Hakim Moi told SCR News that the gathering agreed on a number of recommendations including the use of the Camden Declaration in the making of the new Constitution.
Mr. Moi said a delegation of three members was appointed by AMDISS to participate in the post-referendum taskforce.
The members were appointed to respond to the invitation of Dr. Machar to have media representatives in the taskforce he heads.
