A media group called on journalists to report on environmental issues in order to ensure better sanitation for people of South Sudan.
South Sudan Union of Journalists Officer for Policy Framework Boboya Samuel Wudu told SCRN News today that newspapers and radios in the South Sudan focus on political, economical and social issues but ignore environmental health issues.Mr. Wudu said sanitation is poor in South Sudan and residents dump garbage all over the place.
He added that the media needed to engage with all stakeholders to guarantee that the population can enjoy a healthier environment.
South Sudan Union of Journalists organized the one-day workshop to encourage journalists to report on environmental issues.
