The clashes between the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) components in the Joint Integrated Unit (JIU) stationed in Malakal left 18 people dead and 40 others wounded.
Malakal Teaching Hospital Medical Director Tut Gony told Voice of Love the heavy fighting on Thursday and Friday at JIU’s barracks in Hai Malakia killed 18, including a policeman who was reported dead yesterday.Dr. Gony said among the dead there were 12 civilians and six soldiers.
He added that there are three people in a critical condition and doctors were battling to save their lives in the hospital.
